Haynes Bridge Road Widening Concepts
A key topic of discussion during the Johns Creek City Council Meeting on Monday January 22, 2018 was the request to authorize $100,000 for the drafting of concepts for the widening of Haynes Bridge Road. This widening is one of the projects proposed under the T-SPLOST program.
The request was approved 6 -1, with Councilman Zaprowski voting in opposition, primarily because he believes that a piecemeal approach to the full slate of projects isn't a comprehensive approach.
Editorially, in the opinion of Preserve Johns Creek, this particular project may have merit if it fulfills the intent of moving traffic efficiently to major north/south arteries - in this case toward 400. Execution must be respectful of residential character and minimize the impact on adjacent property owners.
